    I feel unmotivated and under stimulated a lot of the time, I tend to procrastinate and get distracted very easy, I never complete what is start… but at the same time I’m bored, I just don’t get as much done in my day as I want to…my to do list is still full.

    I probably need to get more tyrosine in my diet…

    @FM897 I understand what you’re saying but…

    The supplements Sean just held up are by NOW foods. They’re a very reputable independent company. They only use 100% pure, natural ingredients processed very minimally, and with no added sugar, soy, dairy, etc. You’re not going to find them at Walmart basically.

    I’ve been using their products for 4 years, and I’m here to tell you, they work. I can highly recommend their “Special Two” capsules especially.

    Very interesting, I always wondered if a lack of protien in ones diet could be a cause of depression. Thanks for making this vid. =)

    can we take all 4 suppliments at once? =O

    Most Americans eat the standard American diet, loaded with meat and dairy (both complete proteins that people rave about so much) so why is everyone still depressed? Our problem is NOT a lack of protein. Our problem is eating far too much meat and dairy and not enough fruits and vegetables, and a lack of exercise and sleep.

    I know ur not supposed to give doses or tell anyone how much supplements they should take unless u kno them personally, but u can prescribe something for someone thats already dead right? cuz he cant get any worse. so i want to ask on behalf of my 2nd? cousin whose already dead who felt the blah and the depression symptoms, should he have taken both l-tyrosine and l-tryptophan daily so he could have lived a happier life. or should it have been only one for a while then the other one?

    i bought this book based solely on you’re recommendation, and THANK YOU! This book is dope and very informative. It points out things are logical and then the not so obvious. As someone who took physiology, almost NONE of this is taught in school and its of high importance. Thanks again

    @FM897 exactly…not enough protein=depression, that statement is ridiculous…eat more fruits and veggies instead of meat that way you can bypass the protein and get the direct amino acids you need

    I tried to give UW a second chance, lots of enthusiasm, but, Sean says it himself, he’s NOT a DOCTOR. If you think your depressed go to a MEDICAL DOCTOR! He’s peddling a book, and, “happiness in a bottle” by his own admission. He and many other people vilify real doctors for prescribing antidepressants, except they’re NOT a FUCKING DOCTOR!

    I’m begging you, people do NOT take any SERIOUS medical advice from a guy with a youtube channel!

    All I know is that we’re not going to “conquer” depression and anxiety with a bunch of “dietary supplements,” which may be more natural then psychotropic medications, but are a far cry from natural.

  21. FM897 Said,

    May 3, 2010 @ 12:18 AM

    I will say that a few weeks after I stopped eating animal products, my frequent bouts of depression virtually disappeared and my anxiety decreased dramatically. I’m not just saying that in a pathetic attempt to spread some “liberal, new-age, vegan” agenda. I’m relaying this information because it really worked for me and I’ve never felt better.
