probably…fish are really sensitive to sound and the vibes will shake the ground a bit…but the fish will notice. you don’t have to play it THAT loudly…

I’m not sure of this, but I have read before that loud noises do stress fish out. I don’t think it would matter that much if they were just in the same room as a loud stereo, but if their tank were right next to, or at least very near to a speaker playing loud music, they might get stressed out. However, I have never found any conclusive evidence for this.

I used to have tons of fish when I was a teenager and always played loud loud music and never had a problem.
I wouldn’t worry too much unless it is RIGHT NEXT to the stereo….

    Hope I helped!

Sound travels very well through water so it might.

If it is so loud that it is vibrating than you shouldnt be around it either. I always play classical music at a relaxing volume level for my critters. I find it helps lower their stress level and especially play it when guests come over.

umm my fish definitley can’t handle country music.
It’s murer playing that near them.

No it won’t, i have a 4 inch Oscar and a 10 inch Oscar, and have parties with load music all the time.
    Your fish will be fine.
    Good Luck
